Company Background
Honcho Designs was set-up in 2001 by myself (Andy Yoong) a University of Ulster design graduate. Â During the business’ life there have been many fast changing trends and technologies. Â I started as an extreme sports clothing company but this has now grown and adopted to meet market demands. Â The company’s core business is now graphic design, and market leading video production.
Since a young age I have been involved with the extreme sports lifestyle, competing for Ireland in downhill mountain biking and in 2009 placed third at the Masters Downhill Mountainbike World Championships. Â My lifestyle has taken me to many countries and has allowed me to see what the world’s active youth of today is really interested in. Â This key insight and vision has resulted in unique perspective and a real marketing advantage, hence commissioned work with major end clients including Freecaster.tv, Kawasaki Europe, Oxfam Ireland, and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board to name a few.
Video Production
At present Honcho Designs is a leader in the new realm and rapidly changing industry of digital cinematography, providing the high budget film look for a fraction of the cost. Â This has been made possible with newly developing technologies used with equipment such as 35mm lens adaptors and digital SLR video cameras. Â This look brings the otherwise mundane corporate video production to the next level, enticing viewers into the story you are trying to tell resulting in increased revenue to you. Â Be sure to check out some of the videos on the site for examples. Â A van is also available at competitive mileage rates to transport most equipment rented from either from Honcho Designs or other facilities.
Post Production
Honcho Designs is Apple certified in Final Cut Studio editing software. Â Mobile or static editing systems are available proving useful for clients needing event coverage delivered as soon as possible. Â Other video services offered include grading and motion graphics.
